Newborn

Newborn shoots are best captured during the first 3 weeks after baby is born.  When your bundle of joy arrives please contact me by telephone or by email to arrange a confirmed date for your shoot.   Newborn sessions are held at my home studio in Huddersfield.

My sessions have evolved over time and I now like to offer sessions where baby is less posed, I prefer the shoot to be more baby led, allowing baby to be comfortable with natural positions.  Simple tones of white are used for the styling to give an element of purity to the images, showcasing the main focus, your baby.

I capture plenty images of baby and like to concentrate on all of their features.  I also offer parents the chance to be involved, whether it be your arms supporting your baby in the images or a lovely family image.  Some clients also ask for images of baby with daddy and baby with mummy. I ask for parents to bring white vests for baby, bringing a few with you is always helpful should there be any accidents.  To allow your gallery to look coherent and timeless I also ask parents to wear white to their sessions, this could be a white t shirt , shirt, dress.

The shoot will be taken at a steady pace, allowing time for baby to feed / be changed / settled. It is normal for sessions to last 2 hours, sometimes a little longer depending how baby is.
